Until recently, live, two-way, fully interactive connections were unaffordable to small institutions. Expensive teleconferencing equipment costing tens of thousands of dollars was needed. Usage fees were as much as $100 per hour per location.
Now, through Connect Israel, using brand new, low cost teleconference technology, any institution or home with high speed internet has the ability to host lecturers and scholars from Israel in two-way, live, interactive classes, with no usage fees. All events are scheduled through Connect Israel.
Phase one of the Connect the World program, Connect Israel’s mission is to connect Jewish communities worldwide with the people of Israel. Connect Israel already provides video-conferencing services to telepresence lecturers from Israel into many Jewish organizations in Europe and North America.
